Diamond Hand Pads for Polishing Stone
These diamond polishing pads are designed for polishing various types of stone. Some of these include:
- Onyx
- Marble
- Granite
- Ceramic
- Concrete
- Limestone
- Soapstone
- Travertine
It is best to use these polishing pads with water. It doesn't have to be a lot of water but at least a little bit increases the performance of the pads.
These hand polishing pads are excellent for polishing up edges of profiled material. The 30 and 50 grit diamond hand pads are aggressive enough to create round overs and light shaping of stone. Additionally, these pads remove router bit scratches and saw marks.
Composition
Grits 30-400 are diamond electroplated. These shape and polish at a much faster rate and can be used wet or dry.
Grits 800-Buff are resin bonded pads that are designed to bring the stone or concrete up to a high gloss polish. These work very well when used with even a little water.
Performance
The pads come with a flexible foam backing that allows them to be used straight as well as be formed to the profiled edge that you are working with.
Weha diamond hand polishing pads are 2" wide x 3 1/2" long for a firm polishing grip; yielding better results.
For more aggressive lower grit diamonds that create faster work and last longer try the copper diamond hand polishing pads.
Copper Diamond Hand Polishing Pads
Weha Copper Diamond Hand Pads are also full bond copper diamond hand pads that can be used wet and dry. The life of these Copper Han Pads are 3 times the life of standard diamond hand pads. And because of the copper bond, they remove stock and shape much faster than standard electroplated pads.
Use the Copper Diamond Hand Pads in grits 50, 100, and 200 to create the bullnose, remove stock, and start the polishing process. Then switch over to the 400 standard diamond hand pads. They will seamlessly switch over to finish the polish.
