Handling Sequel Material
Fabricating Sequel involves a number of techniques and tools that are common to hard surfaces of differing types. Whether the material is a natural stone or a man made material like Sequel is, it must be handled, maneuvered, loaded, and unloaded. This takes various engineered quartz equipment. In the fabrication shop and on the road, there are occasions where Sequel must be handled. In this article we will briefly look at some of these times.
What is Material Handling?
When people think of material handling for Sequel, different things might come to mind. Someone might think of unloading a truck that has Sequel products on it. Someone else might have in mind the thought of lifting Sequel slabs onto a fixture for work. And still others may see in their mind's eye a storage rack with slabs of Sequel loaded on it. And in fact, all of these are actually examples of material handling.
Storage Equipment for Sequel
Fabrication shops at times have a great deal of material on hand with which to work. Because of this, and because the Sequel slabs might need to be sitting in storage before they are actually used for surfaces, a rack for storing Sequel might be used for keeping the material on hand but out of the way until it is ready for use.
Equipment for Transporting Sequel
One of the facets of material handling that may seem obvious is transporting Sequel slabs from one place to another. Having the ability to easily move a slab of Sequel across the fabrication shop is a practical asset. With a single sided a frame cart for Sequel or similar piece of equipment, fabrication shop workers can move Sequel slabs around the shop easily and quickly, not to mention safely.
Unloading & Loading Sequel
Working in a warehouse, slab yard, or fabrication shop means having to lift or hoist large lsabs of material repeatedly and it is no different when the material is Sequel. Being able to get a good grip on the Sequel slab can be the difference between success and failure. And with the right equipment, this is possible. One example of a piece of equipment designed to help workers get ahold of a Sequel slab is a air only vacuum style lifter. This machine, like others is designed to hold onto the material so it can be loaded or unloaded during the process of storage, delivery and/or fabrication.
In conclusion, having the proper material handling equipment for managing Sequel products is not really all that different from what you would need to handle natural stone surfaces. Like any engineered quartz, working with Sequel takes various products that are designed to lift, transport, and load large slabs of product.
